Rotherham Community Panel Members 

Remedi are recruiting and training Volunteer- Community Panel members on behalf of Rotherham Youth Justice Service.

Panel members work with the Rotherham Youth Justice Service to devise bespoke and creative programmes to work to address young peoples’ offending behaviour while also considering their victim’s needs and those of the wider community.

What we need:

  • People who can listen to others
  • People who want to help other people
  • People who are motivated to make a positive change in people’s lives
  • People who want to use the skills they already have, and build on them
  • People who want to help us develop the service and raise its profile

RESTORATIVE JUSTICE VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

Restorative Justice enables victims of crime to communicate with the offender responsible in order to express how they feel and to ask questions in a fully supported and safe environment and we need volunteers to help us do that.

Could you:

  • Spare an average of 2 hours per week
  • Attend an initial 3 day training course
  • Work with victims of crime AND offenders in a none judgmental way

VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

From April 2016 Remedi are being contracted by the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner to provide the county’s generic victim services.

Derbyshire Victim Services exists to support anyone affected by crime in Derbyshire. We need volunteers to help us do that.

Could you:

  • Spare a minimum of 3 hours per week (evenings and weekends would be great)
  • Attend an initial 3 day training course
  • Provide support to victims of crime in Derbyshire (Telephone and/or face to face support)

What we need:

  • People who want to help other people
  • People who are motivated to make a positive change in people’s lives
  • People who want to use the skills they already have, and build on them
  • People who want to help us develop the service and raise its profile
